Trash, linen and debris chutes are available in various diameters. The standard diameter is 24 inches. Trash chutes provide a safe efficient method of handling rubbish in all types of buildings. Linen chutes provide a safe, sanitary and efficient method of handling soiled linen in hospitals, hotels and nursing homes. Reusable debris chutes are for the removal of construction debris from low and high rise buildings. Because safety is a priority, US Chute's are compliant with National Fire Protection Association and Underwriters Laboratories.

US Chute's metal is available in various gauges and fabricated from Aluminize, Galvanized or Stainless Steel.
Sound deadening agents such as mastic sound deadening, batt wrap and aquaplus are available. US Chutes Spiral Lock construction acts as a built in sound dampening device that eliminates the need for additional agents.

All chutes are designed to be used in conjunction with container and bagger compactors where permitted. View compactor page for information on US Chute Compactors.

A chute system contains many different parts. Refer to the drawing on the right. The chutes main section is referred to as a riser. The riser allows the trash or linen to fall down to the discharge level. The chute also has an intake section that connects the intake door to the chute. The intake door is available in many different dimension and hinge orientations. All of US Chute doors are fire rated and carry the UL label. The chutes are equipped with sprinkler heads as well. A sanitizer system can be added to a chute. This is shown in the picture above the intake section. The sanitizer system allows the user to flush the chute down with a cleansing agent. The chute riser is supported on each floor with a floor support grid. All chutes are to be vented through the roof and contain and explosion proof vent per the National Fire Protection Association Code.
